By now, you have probably seen the announcement for IBM MQ 9.2.3. The first thing to mention is that Nastel had support for 9.2.3 right away. Nastel Technologies is an integration infrastructure management (i2M) solutions company, and IBM MQ is at the heart of most enterprises’ integration infrastructure (i2).
Today’s decision-making is different than even a few years ago. More “data” is used, and the data inputs take several forms, including humans.
A big part of today’s strategy and decision-making at enterprise-class organizations are committees, made up of a company’s subject matter experts and relevant stakeholders for a critical company initiative. They may meet quarterly or as needed and the committee work is in addition to their “day job.”
In a recent survey of decision-makers and professionals working in, or overseeing, integration infrastructure (i2) architecture or operations at large enterprises, we found that these corporate priorities warranted having a committee:
Top Committees in 2021:
Cloud Strategy
IT Transformation
Innovation
Risk Management
Quality / Customer Experience (CX) Improvement
Other - Integrations
Upon further discussion with senior executives, we kept hearing that while all committees officially drove strategy and direction for their initiative, the named initiatives with both a committee and an attached budget to fund the initiative made progress much more quickly.
Here at Nastel, we have a very active and passionate debate culture, and most work mornings the coffee room is a hive of opinions and ideas. It often feels like I imagine the debates on the Roman Senate floor, or a Greek philosopher’s dinner would have felt.
Message data is a digital treasure trove for enterprises that need to meet evolving operations performance, CX (customer experience), and even compliance goals.
“Message Data” includes critical information and context missing from log files and other data sources. Getting it easier and earlier enables advanced analysis and improvements to begin without delay.
AIOps is an area of technology that is developing rapidly and is generally accepted to mean “using machine learning to contextualize large amounts of data”.
While data analytics systems are great at identifying unusual patterns in large amounts of data (for example in a data lake) they can be quite poor at providing context to the signals they detect.
Nastel Navigator is an extremely powerful tool for secure middleware administration, automated deployment, and cloud migration. Here are some examples of how middleware administrators in top companies use Nastel Navigator to save time and reduce risk.
The most recent Continuous Delivery (CD) release for IBM MQ became generally available on March 25th, 2021. CD releases provide insight into what the next Long Term Support (LTS) release will look at.
Many enterprises are adopting OpenShift in their journey to building and running containerized workloads in on-premise, cloud-based or hybrid environments. These initiatives leverage multiple application integration technologies, such as IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, or Tibco EMS.
There was a time when owning a cross-cut shredder for home use was considered the height of personal data security. Oh, how the world has changed!
Today we all receive incredible volumes of communication through email, social media, text messages, and phone calls, and each of these messages provides intimate details about us.
The pandemic hit, and the world has changed forever. I do not mean to sound overdramatic, but having 100% remote working, and 100% e-business forced on much of the business world, we have had to learn a lot of rather uncomfortable lessons.
